The way you take a few extra minutes to brew a cup of coffee and breath in the light we work so hard to provide. Our reason is also the tough, the gritty, and the ugly and the more.
The Origin of LUX
The origin of the world lux actually means “more at light.” We created a space that we hoped would do just that, leave you more at light than you were before. We aren’t claiming to hold anything more special or revolutionary, we are just claiming that in order to be more at light you have to decide to step into it.

In the human brain, there are two different chemicals known as serotonin and dopamine.
Serotonin
Serotonin helps the brain to send messages to the nerves. Once the nerves have the proper messages, it can help enhance mood, sleep, and digestion, decrease nausea and promote wound healing, bone health, and blood clotting.
Dopamine
Dopamine is what helps us to feel pleasure, motivation, and satisfaction. These two chemicals working together can help stimulate a better overall sense of well-being. Infrared light can actually have a direct effect on causing dopamine and serotonin neurons to secrete these chemicals.
The absence of light can deplete the body of these chemicals leading to different mood disorders. Infrared light therapy has been clinically proven to:
